I’m not a huge fan of dark novels, but read this one because I love the author. You have been warned!I Am Grey is brilliant. Mika Gray lost a year of her life and as she starts to piece it back together, her world is complicated by the school appointed psychologist Nicholai Fell who is intense as he is gorgeous.Mika Gray lost a year of her life and as she starts to piece it back together, her world is complicated by the school appointed psychologist Nicholai Fell who is intense as he is gorgeous.I am Grey is a very different read from my normal choice but I’m a massive fan of this author so this was an immediate one click buy for me. If you have dipped your toe into Jane Washington's books before and thought 'meh' firstly - what is wrong with you, her books are all awesome and secondly, this is SO different from her usual style.
Fantastic read, had to finish the same day, I just couldn't put it down.I love Jane Washington so much, and will read whatever she releases. But I need to gush, possibly in an embarrassing manner. Oh this author knows how to break me up into a million different pieces and then put me back together again.

So, I have read some other books by Washington and loved them, but they are fantasy. As I have written in another review, this author has an ability write characters that you are invested in even the 'Duke's' of the book have a quality that makes you want to jump into the book and just bitch slap them or tar and feather their manly bits. Fantastic. And quite thrilling, though different to her other series.Jane knows how to take you on an emotional rollercoaster of a ride with no "exit here" until you finish the book. But I need to gush, possibly in an embarrassing manner. If you ask them, they'll tell you they are going to be general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons. The main character (Mika/Grey) is broken and has a serious Dua Lipa attitude to everything, something that her new therapist (Nicholai) is determined to change.
I needed to know how Mika was going to cope with everything that was thrown at her. Then there’s Nicholai, he is sexy and domineering but also fighting demons. Mika Grey. Keep it up. It was beautifully written, and you really find yourself loving and cheering on most of these characters. By 70% I knew I would reread this book again and again.
