Great mountain music. Whereas the former album was chock-full of bluegrass tunes both historical and contemporary, the sequel is a far more diverse collection that includes traditional songs, country music classics, and some new originals -- and yes, there are a couple of bluegrass tunes in the mix. Very good CD, but not as good as Mountain Soul 1. Patty has the most perfect voice for it!

You Save 5%. I've been listening to and playing country music for 50 years and this is the first time I've been able to say this about any album, it's perfect! Mountain Soul II is a triumph of artistry over the crass commercialism of modern-day Nashville.
My hope is that some of the current crop of country performers (male and female) will listen to and learn from her.Love her & the Mountain Soul music, but felt there was less of that type music in this album...some a little more contemporary...still love it, just not as well as the first.

Still, if you like the first one, you'll like the second one. Mountain Soul II is the best of the bunch. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Just a little disappointed. When I listen to her it makes me feel like she is singing for the pure joy of it, and to share the story of the song with the rest of us.
