The acting is sublime and both sad and comedic. With Judi Dench, Julia McKenzie, Imelda Staunton, Lisa Dillon. Gentle, sweet, for the whole family, but somewhat too predictable and not exciting enough unlike its previous edition. I have yet to read the books but have dropped heavy hints to Santa. As with Season 1, another high quality movie. Pure excellence. Also, the two new families are introduced a bit too quickly and so I didn't fully get into their characters until the second time around. The BBC has, if I'm honest disappointed me recently, but for one Cranford' quality programme I can almost forgive for everything else. Excellent writing, character portrayals, and humor!
