When she meets and falls for Joel McCrea she switches with her secretary (Fay Wray) to see what it is about her he's attracted to.Some of the gender stuff is obviously going to be really bad, there's quite a lot of Hopkins being preached at by a really sexist old man about how she's asking too much for McCrea to not want to marry for money and how she should just settle for less than she thinks she deserves, and it of course ends with McCrea having enough of the whole thing and forcing Hopkins to do things his way which she, of…Reg Denny was such a hilarious babe.
Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t much less than what I expected, but I was hoping for a little more romantic buildup between the two leads á la A familiar love triangle comedy romance...with Miriam Hopkins as the unseen richest girl in the world switching places with her secretary Fay Wray and between them is Joel McCrea as the Love interest.i woud still marry joel mccrea even if he only wanted me for my money, i don't careMiriam Hopkins was an excellent Broadway actress who found a wonderful career in films, even if she never achieved legendary status.
